Who are Optimise?

Optimise are an investment group focussed on small to medium sized businesses. In partnership with business owners and entrepreneurs, Optimise aim to use their wealth of experience in this field to promote growth and add stability and value to their businesses.

Current investment portfolio

Optimise currently has investments over a range of sectors with individual investments ranging from £300,000 to £2m, and are funded both internally and in partnership with third party investors.

Investment criteria

The fundamental requirement of any investment is the quality of the management team, a principle that the Optimise founders have adhered to over their previous years of investment.  It is no coincidence that the most successful investments have been those with the strongest management teams.  Whilst the nature and potential of the investment opportunity is obviously important too, there is no sector bias and all opportunities are assessed on their own merit. 

What Optimise can add to investee companies?

The founders of Optimise have a significant amount of experience in growing businesses for over 20 years, both in an operational capacity and as investors, and of creating significant shareholder value.  Given that the fundamental investment requirement is a strong management team, Optimise does not interfere in the day to day running of investee companies although expertise in areas such as sales and marketing, operations and finance is available where required. The Optimise founders are also very experienced in maximising value at exit.

It is a prerequisite of any Optimise investment that the goals of investors and management are closely aligned and we therefore ensure that our management teams are highly incentivised, through a combination of equity and significant incentives.
